AFL Preliminary Finals Betting Odds

This Friday night, flag favourites Collingwood take on my beloved Hawks in what experts believe will be a one-sided match, with the Pies to progress easily on to the Grand Final and win the 2011 AFL Premiership.

While my heart says that the Hawks have a chance of causing an upset, my head knows it will be a big ask, as Collingwood have proven themselves to be the side to beat this year. Although the Magpies have been looking a little shaky in the last month, I expect them to bounce back tonight when it counts. Dale Thomas and Ben Reid are two massive ins for Collingwood and I reckon their forward line will be too tall and strong for the Hawthorn defense.

Geelong take on the Eagles on Saturday afternoon, and they look set to appear in another Grand Final. Joel Corey comes in for the Cats, which will boost their already big bodied midfield, I don’t think the younger Eagles will be able to match it with the experience and strength of Geelong.
