The Boxing Day Test Match is the Fourth Test Match in the 2013/2014 test series. Starting on Boxing Day, Thursday December 26th 2013 and running through until Monday December 30th. Of course we all know that it’s played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Victoria and starts at 10:30am local time.
Australia has already won the series, winning the first 3 matches comfortably and we’ve taken back the Ashes. The poms didn’t see it coming, and neither did the bookies as you can see from my previous post, 2013/2014 Ashes Betting Odds, England were the clear favourites to take out the series by every online bookmaker in the land. I publicly tipped Australia to win and my betting balance is now in a good position to place a few exotic bets on the fourth test in Melbourne.
My Cricket Betting Tips Gave Good Odds
Here’s what my tips were for the winner of the 2013/2014 Australia Vs England Ashes series in my previous post. Ladbrokes Australia was the online bookie I used and got fixed odds of $2.65. Not bad for a team that was playing below its best, it was only a matter of time before they bounced back.
Maybe it’s just because I’m an Aussie, maybe it’s the beers that I’ve enjoyed while writing this post or maybe I’m just delusional, but I think the Aussies can bounce back and win the Ashes this time.
So it looks like my Ashes cricket betting tips were spot on this time, I hope some of you punters got on Australia before the first test when they were paying the best odds. It seems to me that we’re playing some good, consistent Test cricket now and the players are playing for the team more than in recent history. Hopefully we can keep it up.
So, the Australian cricket team have found some form and have brought the Ashes back to the rightful country and of course, we’ve got bragging rights again and we’ll let every English person we know about it whenever the opportunity arises.
The Best Boxing Day Test Match Betting Odds
The best odds available for each team from each online bookmaker are listed in bold text. It looks like Ladbrokes Australia is paying the best odds for England and Bet365 has the best odds for both Australia and a draw.
