Best 2014 AFL Brownlow Medal Odds & Tips

2014 Brownlow Medal Odds & Tips

In January I predicted that Ablett would win the Brownlow if he didn’t get injured or suspended. Well, unfortunately he was struck down with a season ending injury in round 16 and not many would be brave enough to predict that he wasn’t far in front of the pack at that stage of the year. Since then, last years runners up, Joel Selwood has rocketed into favouritism, will he get a chance to wear the Charlie around his neck this year?

I’ve listed my top 3 tips and spoken briefly about a smokie to finish in the top 5, maybe even higher. Of course I’ve also provided you with the best odds available on the internet from Australia’s top online bookmakers. We’ll find out who will with the AFL’s Best and Fairest award on Monday the 22nd September, 2014. I’ve noticed that the media can make the odds fluctuate wildly, even after the regular season has finished. So if you want to secure some good fixed odds, now is the time to do it.

2014 FIFA World Cup Soccer Betting Odds

Get the best odds from the best online bookmakers in Australia for the outright winner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Soccer Tournament. Includes my tips, special promotions for top online Australian bookmakers and the best odds for each team to win the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The favourites to win outright are the usual contenders, Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Spain are the top 4 shortest priced teams, all paying single figure odds. Australia is paying between $400 and $1,500 to win. The young Aussie team is in Group B along with Spain, the Netherlands and Chile, all of which have a reasonable chance of progressing deep into the tournament. They play Chile first at 8:00am Saturday (AEST) at Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba on the 14th of June and the players are confident due to their underdog status.

Will our Socceroos be able to cause a major upset win or finish a match or two with a draw? We’ll have to wait and see.

2014 Coleman Medal Winner Betting Odds

by Aussie Punter April 14, 2014 AFL
2014 AFL Coleman Medal Winner Betting Odds

My analysis of the leading AFL goal scorers and tips for betting on the winner of the Coleman Medal including the best odds as of Round 4, 2014.

There is a couple of surprises at the top of the leading goalscorer ladder, with Jay Shulz continuing to impress over at Port Adelaide and young star in the making, Jeremy Cameron for GWS sitting equal fourth in current goals kicked, along with Tom Hawkins, Justin Westhoff and Jack Gunston. I think each of these players could potentially win the award this year, it appears to be a very open market at this stage of the year as most teams are now trying their hardest to spread their goals around instead of relying on one key focus, making it easy for the opposition to set up and double or even triple team that key forward.

The openness of the betting market is great for us punters, as we get better odds on all players since they all have a very strong chance of winning, especially at this early stage of 2014. Jarryd Roughead is equal second in goals kicked this year along with Nick Riewoldt and Luke Breust, he’s kicked 12 goals and is deservedly the current favourite with odds of $6. At this price he’s still worth putting a bet on if you think he can keep it up. I also don’t think that Jay Shulz will be paying $17 for much longer, if you think he can continue kicking goals and if Port Adelaide is going to be a top team this year, now is the time to bet on him.

Keep reading for my 2014 Coleman Medal winner tips and analysis as of round 4, 2014.

Best 2014 Gold Logie Award Winner Odds

Best 2014 Gold Logie Award Winner Betting Odds

On the 27th of April, the annual TV week Logie Awards will grace our televisions. These are the odds for the winner of the Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. Last years winner Asher Keddie is one of the nominees. Best known for her Australian theatre work and starring roles in series’ Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo, Offspring, Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, Love My Way, Hawke and Rush.

The favourites to win in 2014 are Carrie Bickmore, panel member on channel 10’s The Project and host of So You Think You Can Dance Australia and Scott Cam, who is well known for his work on popular lifestyle reality TV shows Backyard Blitz/Domestic Blitz and The Block.

This is the first entertainment betting post I’ve made, I’m not sure if there are any tips on picking the winner of these popularity contests, but there must be a way to profit off novelty betting markets. I’d be happy to hear from any punters out there who think they know how to gain an edge on these type of markets.
